We make wine<\/strong> produced exclusively from grapes<\/strong> coming from our own vineyards that lie in one of the best positions of La Morra: \u201ccru\u201d Brunate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Our family has used its experience towards obtaining high quality wines while respecting tradition and environment<\/strong> fully. <\/p>\n

Our work has always been based on few and simple production rules<\/strong>, keeping all the traditional passages that render our wines genuine and unchanged.<\/p>\n

A Family Passion<\/h2>\n

The emotional attachment<\/strong> to this land and to these vineyards has been handed down from father to son. Today, Francesco<\/strong> Borgogno\u2019s sons, Giancarlo<\/strong> and Claudio<\/strong>, direct the winery, flanked by Claudio\u2019s wife Silvia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Together they check every step in the production of their wine starting with the vineyards<\/strong> and following with the winemaking<\/strong> and the care of the cellar.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Cellar<\/h2>\n

We own approx 7 hectars<\/strong> of land and we produce every year 35.000 bottles<\/strong> of wine always using classical method<\/strong> with ageing in big wood barrels<\/strong> without use of barriques.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Wine-making<\/h2>\n

The vinification is made under controlled<\/strong> temperature <\/strong>after the pressing of grapes. The process of fermentation<\/strong> and maceration<\/strong> are different for each type of wine and every step is followed from us with the help of expert of oenology Piero Ballario.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At the end of making process, wines will be moved in wood barrel for ageing in our underfloor cellar. Barrels are made with Slavonian Oak<\/strong> (30 or 50 hl). Dolcetto and the Favorita wine stay just in steel and not in wood. Barolo<\/strong> remains for 4 years<\/strong> in this wooden barrels, while Barbera and Nebbiolo remain between 6 and 8 months in wood barrel from 7 hl approx.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
