Three events dedicated to the “King of Wines”. On Friday 12th, Friday 19th and Friday 26th April 2013 twenty-seven Barolo producers will present their Barolo DOCG wines in some great restaurants in Barolo. A gourmand and intriguing trip through the Barolos produced in the “capital” town of the King of Wines. This is what the fifth edition of A dinner with “Barolo di Barolo” in Barolo will offer. Every night, nine Barolos from nine different producers will be served with traditional dishes of the Langhe. During the blind tastings each guest will receive a report card for a personal technical evaluation. A map of Barolo sub-zones and a calendar of 2013 events in Barolo will also be included.

First night (April 12th) Giacomo Borgogno, Cagliero, Collina San Ponzio, Damilano, Scarzello, Sebaste, Terre da Vino, Vajra, Viberti Giovanni.
Second night (April 19 th) Bergadano cav. Enrico, Borgogno Francesco, Brezza, Camerano, Casina Bric 460, Lo Zoccolaio, Francesco Rinaldi, Sandrone Luciano, Virna.
Third night (April 26 th) Famiglia Anselma, Barale F.lli, Borgogno Serio Battista, Bric Cenciurio, Ferrero, Marchesi di Barolo, Museo dei Cavatappi, E. Pira, Giuseppe Rinaldi.

“The aim of this event – says the president of the municipal tourist board Italo Cabutto – is the promotion of the public image of the village of Barolo to connoisseurs and newbies”. We suggest a walk through this land of great wines, prestigious restaurants, but also rich in hidden spots and gorgeous landscapes, where you’ll be able to taste the simplicity of the peaceful countryside. “Furthermore – says the president – each night will be a unique occasion to taste up to 9 different glasses of Barolo in the village where this amazing wine was born and also a good reason to experience (or re-experience) some restaurants that are celebrated well outside Barolo’s boundaries.
